Zachary Justin Hunter

b. May 4, 1979

Zachary Justin Hunter was born May 4, 1979 in South Korea and was adopted by Cheryl Neubert Hunter of Raleigh, NC and James Rickie Hunter of Clayton, NC. A graduate of South Johnston High school and an employee of 3C Packaging in Clayton, he was a long time Johnston County resident. Zac as he was lovingly called was known by all as a man with the kindest, most generous heart. He made all who knew him feel completely and wholly loved. Zac was born with a congenital heart defect and underwent surgery that was met with complications. Zac had his heart fully healed on June 14, 2018 at the age of 39 whenee entered the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. The world has lost one of the greatest sources of goodness in a place filled with so much brokenness. Zac will forever be missed by his parents, his brother, Jasoneechner of Faribault, MN; his sister, Catherine Fitzgerald of Wilmington, NC; and his sister, Alexis Hunter of New York, NY as well as his brother in law and best friend, Richard Fitzgerald of Wilmington, NC and his nieces and nephew, Grace, Mercy and Asher Fitzgerald of Wilmington, NC; nephew, Phoenix Fechner of Faribault MN. He will also be missed by couneess other aunts, unees, cousins, and friends who all experienced the depth of his love for everyone he knew. While our hearts are irrevocably broken this side of heaven without seeing Zac each aneevery day, we know that his heart is completely mended and rejoicing ineeaven. A celebration of Zac???s life will be on Monday, June 18th at 1pm at Summit Church (2335 Presidential Dr. Durham, NC 27703). All are welcome to come as they are to celebrate the ineedible life and love of this amazing man.
