Wilma Bernee Hackney Ennis

Mrs. Wilma Bernee Hackney Ennis, 79, of Pittsboro died August 20, 2012 at The Laurels of Chatham. Mrs. Ennis was born in Chatham County on March 22, 1933, the daughter of Garland and Rose Hackney. She was employed by Webster Poultry Company for most of her working life; and later, worked as a nursing assistant at a Pittsboro nursing home before retiring. Mrs. Ennis attended Solid Rock Baptist Church in Pittsboro. Survivors include two daughters, Louise Riddle and Anneeaden, both of Pittsboro; two sons, Mike Ellis and Joe Ellis, both of Pittsboro; three grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tommy Hackney of South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded ineeath by her husband and six siblings. The service to celebrate Mrs. Ennis' life will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Hall Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro. Interment will follow in Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City.
