William Thomas Lunsford

 William Thomas Lunsford, age 72, a long-time resident of Stem, NC, died at his home on November 19, 2021. He was the son of the late Floyd Lunsford and Allie Gentry Lunsford of Granville County.

 William was a good husband, a good father, and a friend to many. He loved to help people and found creative ways to give to many. He retired from Murdoch as a maintenance supervisor and continued to share a life with his wife, Vickie and family.

 William is survived by his wife, Vickie Boone Lunsford; his stepson, Randy Brogden; his step grandchildren, Haley Brogden and Kayla Hutsun. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Wilkerson, and Lucy Griffin.  He will be remembered and missed by all whose lives he touched.

 William was predeceased by his parents, and 3 sisters, Nancy Hart, Peggy Evans and Ludie Lunsford.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Transitions Hospice Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or to Stem United Methodist Church, 111 N. Old Highway 75, Stem, NC 27581.

 The family will hold a funeral service on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan in the Chapel and to be officiated by Reverend Norma Roberts.   A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan.  Burial to follow the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens, Creedmoor, NC.
