William Robert Vandyke

OXFORD: William R. VanDyke, age 84, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Granville Medical Center. He was a native of Vance Co. and the son of the late Luther and Ruth Wade VanDyke. William was a member of Bethel Uneed Methodist Church, a retired farmer and retired from Harriett Henderson Cotton Mill. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm ineethel Uneed Methodist Church by Rev. Kay Johnson. Burial will be in Granville Memorial Park. Surviving is a daughter, Sylvia VanDyke Cates and special friend Nash Whitmore of Oxford; grandson, Josh Faucette of Wilmington NC. He was preceded ineeath by his wife Jeanette VanDyke and a daughter, baby girl VanDyke and a sister Roselyn May. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter Sylvia Cates.
