WILLIAM LESLIE MOORE Butner- William Leslie Moore, age 63 a resident of Butner, died Sunday August 16, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Durham. He was a native of New Port News, Va. and was the son of the late William Edward and Anee Eakes Moore. He was a member of Butner Baptist Church and worked for Newton Instruments. Mr. Moore was a Vietnam Veteraneerving in the Navy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Chapel by the Rev. Ed Johnson, the Rev. Sam Brewer and Rev. Hilton Moore. Burial with be at Meadowview Memorial Park with Military Rights. Surviving is his wife, Jean Tilley Moore of the home; step-sons, J. Michael Tate of Greenville, NC, and Bret W. TilleyLynette C. of Bullock; step-daughters, Audrey T. Estes of Raleigh, NC and Lori A. Tilley of Oxford, NC.; a sister Louise M. BlaylockU.H of Sanford, NC.; step-grandchildren, John Michael Tate, Keri Ann Tate, Jessie Leigh Tilley and Lori Glynn Tilley; two nieces, Cynthia Blaylock and Pamela Blaylock. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home 115 Hays Street., in Oxford.
