William Bowling Jones, Jr.

OXFORD: William Bowling "Bill" Jones, Jr. age 72, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at his home. A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late William Bowling Jones and Louise Simmons Jones. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist church, a graduate of Berea High School and NC State Uneersity. He owned Bill Jones Construction. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 8, at 3:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Keith Williams, Rev. Bob Baynard and Rev. Billy Lynch. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving one brother, Bradley Johnson Jones of Oxford; two sisters, Anita Jones Adcock of Stem and Mary Catherine Jones Adcock of Oxford; Finee Edgar White, Jr. of Oxford; three nephews; three nieces; seven great-nephews and two great-nieces. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:30 until 2:45 PM in the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and at other time they will be at the home of Bradley and Teresa Jones.
