Virginia Davis Lynch

Mrs. Virginia "Jenny" Davis Lynch, 96, died March 8, 2012 at the Laurels of Chatham. Born January 23, 1916 in Chatham County, Mrs. Lynch was the daughter of Leonidas and Delcie Oldham Davis. She was a graduate of Goldston High School, where she played basketball. A loving wife, mother and homemaker, Mrs. Lynch was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harry L. and Barbara W. Lynch of Pittsboro. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lynch was preceded ineeath by her husband, Harry L. Lynch, Sr.; and siblings, Julius Davis, Robert Davis, Betty Davis, Ruth Davis Taylor and Alfred Davis. The service to celebrate Mrs. Lynch's life will be conducted at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon March 12, 2012, from the graveside at Alamance Memorial Park, 4039 S. Church Street, Burlington, NC. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 3:30 pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro.
