Thomas Excell Rigsbee, 73, of the Oak Grove Community was born on March 28, 1935 in Wake County to the late Raymond Louis Rigsbee and Genetta Moore Rigsbee. Tom went to Heaven to be with the Lord oneednesday, October 22nd at Blue Ridge Health Care Center in Raleigh following a 5-month illness. He attended Bethel Christianeenter and was a member of The Adult Sunday School Class. Tom was formerly employed by The Young Roofing Company; he owned and operated Rigsbee Roofing & Guttering Company, and most recently was a Parking Attendant in the Parking and Transportationeepartment at Duke Uneersity Medical Center. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Dot Allen Rigsbee; his daughters Bobbie R. Lancaster, Cathy D. Rigsbee, Marion R. Jones, Marty L. Rigsbee, Rose R. Taylor Randy, and Tommi R. Teasley; his grandchildren, Christie Lancaster, Michael Lancaster, Kevin Briggs, Melissa D. Jones, Derek Taylor, Kyle Roberson, Landon Rigsbee, and Julia Teasley; his sister Faye R. Strother, his sister-in-law Carolyn O. Rigsbee and a special "Grand dog" Jackson. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 PM at the Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ron Christ and Rev. Morris Westbrook will preside. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, October 24th from 7-to-9:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Durham and other times at the home.
