Terry Lynn Rhodes

Terry Lynn Rhodes, age 79, passed away peacefully at home in Durham, North Carolina on May 29, 2024.He was born in Painesville, Ohio to the late Lee and Ethel Mae Rhodes on November 25, 1944. He was baptized at the age of 36 at Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake, Michigan.

Terry was very proud of his 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Terry loved God, Country, Family, and service to others. He was a remarkable man who was committed to loving God and helping others find their way through Christ.

Terry is survived by his wife, Katherine Rhodes, four children: Kelly Rhodes, Kimberly Stein, Chris Richards, James Richards, and three grandchildren: Sydney Stein and Carson Stein, and JJ Son. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers David L. Rhodes, and Robert R. Rhodes.

The Rhodes family would like to express their deep gratitude to Duke Hospice, friends, and family for their role in Terry’s care as he journeyed into eternal life.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Sylvan UMC, 5731 N. Roxboro St., Durham, North Carolina on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception at Mt. Sylvan immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mt. Sylvan UMC.
