Suzanne Ruggles Dates

CHAPEL HILL - Suzanne Ruggles Dates, age 83, of Governor???s Club, Chapel Hill, died on July 5, 2016 at her residence. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Donald C. Dates in 2011. Sue was a member of Westmineer Presbyterian Church. She served on the wedding committee for many years. She also served as captain of her neighborhood???s annual Uneed Way fundraising campaigns. Sue collected antiques and helped establish a group that traveled to find and study antiques. She also enjoyed playing mahjong and bridge with friends and neighbors. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Susan Dates of Rockland, Maine. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Friday, September 23, 2016 at Westmineer Presbyterian Church, 3639 Old Chapel Hill Road, Durham, with Rev. Betty Berghaus officiating. A reception will follow.
