Shelby Mangum Bullock

Stem: Shelby Mangum Bullock, 73, a resident of Granville Co. passed away peacefully Monday, February 9, 2015 at Duke Medical Center. She was the daughter of Christine D. Mangum and the late Billie O. Mangum. Shelby endured a long battle with heart disease but neer lost her faith in the Lord. The trials that she went through ineer life and the way that she haneed them can stand as an inspiration to us all. She was involved ineer church where she was a clerk for many years. Shelby was part of the cline group, Gideon???s Auxiliary and was a voluneer for the Duke Heart Center. Her main passion was her family and she neer missed a chance to be around them all. She will be missed dearly by her entire family. Thoughts of her will fill their hearts for years to come. She was known for being ???slow??? and calm. She rarely ever got upset and always had something nee to say to everyone. Shelby is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lucious W. Bullock, Jr.; a son, Michael O. Bullock; a daughter, Cindy B. Ellington and her husband Joey R. Ellington; a granddaughter Lauren B. Haskins and her husband David B. Haskins; and three grandsons, Will T. Bullock, Lance R. Ellington, and Nolan G. Ellington. She was preceded ineeath by a brother Billie Edward Magnum. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00pm at Providence Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Pittman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at Gentry neell and Vaughaneednesday, February 11, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Duke Heart Center to help with LVAD and heart transplant recipients.
