From November 14, 1947, to July 19, 2024, Scott Christopher Schuett enriched the lives of all who encountered his amazing Life Force. Born in Detroit, his family moved to Charlotte while he was a teenager. After high school, Scott attended UNC-CH obtaining a degree in Economics. His interest in photography led him to work at Camera & Photo Shoppe on Main Street in Durham. A chance encounter with a girl he knew from high school blossomed during a one-year courtship and subsequent June wedding in 1983. Scott originated and successfully co-owned CCI photographics during their early years together with three locations in Durham during the height of the color printing industry. He later worked at the Self Help Credit Union for two decades. Scott and Susanya lived in a cozy townhome in Durham until the point of his passing. He was preceded in death by both parents and is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susanya Yowell Schuett, and his sister and brother-in-law, Bromley and Jack Sharrett of Cashiers, NC. Scott was enthralled with his newest hobby, enjoying his Jeep Gladiator and attending Jeep Jamborees. He was a Tree-keeper for the city of Durham and an active community service volunteer, who always championed the underdog. His presence will be profoundly missed. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
