Scott Martin Rubinow

Scott Martin Rubinow, 66, of Durham NC passed away on July 15, at his home. He was born April 25, 1954 in New York City. 0n October 9, 1983 he married his wife Kristen Lochrie. He graduated from Tufts University in 1976 and later earned a master’s degree in education and an MBA from Columbia University. He worked in technology in New York City for most of his career, and then became a mathematics junior high and high school teacher after the family moved to Charlottesville, Virginia. Scott and his family moved to Pittsfield, MA in 2015 and Scott enjoyed golfing and being on the Board of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. After a move to Durham NC in 2019 for health reasons, he enjoyed becoming a volunteer at Duke Gardens, taking OLLI courses and learning to play bridge. Scott is survived by his wife Kristen, daughter Rachelle Brill (Daniel), son Dave Rubinow, his granddaughter Liliana Brill , his brother Barry (Carey), brothers-in law Scott, Neal (Chris) and Howdy, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edith and Bernard Rubinow, and daughter Laura Rubinow. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
