Sally Stuart Moore

Durham—Sally Stuart Moore, 85, died at home on Friday, December 13, 2024. She was born on Aug. 31, 1939, to the late Shepard Stuart and Annie Copeland Stuart.

Sally is survived by her daughters, Tami Baber and husband, Todd, of Mebane, and Sheila Crawford and husband, Mark, of Chapel Hill; a brother, Butch Stuart and a sister, Bonnie Sharpe, both of Meridian, MS; her grandchildren, Hunter Erwin (Katie), Ashleigh “Brooke” Erwin Thompson (Ryan), Lauren Ziegler (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Samuel Thompson, Sawyer Thompson, and Rowen Ziegler; great-granddaughters, Raelee Ziegler and Cheyenne Erwin 

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Moore, and ten of her siblings. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 17th at New Horizon Church, 100 Horizon Place, Durham, NC 27705. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 2:00 PM before the service. Rev. Casey Mursten and Pastor Dwayne Sayre will officiate.
