RUTH ADCOCK BURCHETTE OXFORD: Ruth Adcock Burchette, age 81 a resident of Oxford died December 18, 2008 at Brantwood Nursing Center. She was a native of Granville Co. and was the daughter of the late Blueford and Mattie Smith Adcock. She was the widow of the late Robert Burchette. Ruth was a member of Enon Baptist Church and retired from John Umstead Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Enon Baptist Church by Rev. James C. Shelley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving is a son Robert "Bob" Anthony Burchette of Oxford; three sisters, Mary Clayton and Helen Green both of Stem aneeffie Garrett of Creedmoor. She was preceded ineeath by three brothers, Vernon Adcock, Coy Adcock and Carlton Adcock. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM in the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home.
