Durham ??? Mrs. Rosabell Dorsey Absalom, 91, wife of Worthy Carver Absalom, Jr., died??Tuesday??evening at Roxboro Health Center in Roxboro, NC.?? Born neember 17, 1925 in Swiss, WV to James Edwin aneemma Schwartz Dorsey, Mrs. Absalom earned her Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia Tech in 1947, and completed her formal education at Watts Practical School of Nursing in 1977. Mrs. Absalom was a member of the Order of the White Shrine and Order of the Amaranth. Her childreneemember her as a dedicated mother who provided them a happy childhood in a loving home. Mrs. Absalom???s hobbies included gardening, painting,??bird-watching, and doting oneer pets.????Her greatest enjoyment in life was being with her grandchildren in any location, most especially at the beach.?? Mrs. Absalom is survived by her children Susan Absalom Grunke of Fayetteville, NC, Kathleen Absalom Harris and her husband C.A. of Dunn, NC, Worthy C. ???Buster??? Absalom III of Durham, NC; her daughter-in-law, Lori D. Absalom; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.?? Mrs. Absalom was preceded ineeath by her parents, husband, and her sister Anneee Dorsey Dooley, as well as by her youngest son, David D. Absalom.?? A funeral service officiated by Rev. Debra Brazzel will be held on??Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 2:00pm??in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main Street, Durham, NC 27701.??The family will meet with visitors PRIOR to the service, from 12:00-2:00pm at the funeral home.??Burial to follow the service in Maplewood Cemetery.
