Ronald Carl Whitfield

Rougemont, NC – Ronald Carl “Ron” Whitfield, age 73, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at UNC Hospitals. Ron was born in Durham to the late Herbert Preston Whitfield and Elizabeth Prevatt Whitfield.

Ron is survived by his sons, Adam Whitfield, and wife, Teresa; Chris Whitfield, and wife, Angie. Ron is also survived by his grandchildren, Mary, Loretta, Jake and Dylan Whitfield.

Ron was predeceased by his wife, Servan Umstead Whitfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. Mike Poole will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Section 9.

Friends may visit from 10:00 am – 11:00 am prior to the service in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne.
