Roger Contento

Roger Contento, age 82, of Oxford, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023. Born in Albany, New York, Roger was the son of the late William Contento and Lucy Eleanor Dillehunt Contento. Roger was a man of few words.

Roger is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Rector Contento; his sons, Roger Contento of Florida, and Anthony Contento of New York; his daughters, Teresa Contento and Lynn Contento of North Carolina. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Maria Rivera, Rebekah Rivera, Sara Rivera (Dylan), Joshua Rivera, Abraham Contento, Isaiah McCall, Nikolas Young, Jamie Young, Justin Contento, Sheena Contento, Alivia Contento, Marc Contento, Lexi Cartwright and 10 beautiful great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his loving extended family and friends too numerous to name.

Roger was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, William and Richard Contento.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
