Durham ??? Mrs. Roberta Lois Post went to be with her Lord today April 12, 2017 with two loving nieces by her bedside. Roberta was born ineeacon, N.Y. on August 3, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Josephine R. Post. Roberta graduated from Beacon High School and after several jobs, went to work for Dutchess County. She was the maneer of the Beaconeept. of Motor Vehicles until her retirement in 1986. While growing up she was a member of First Baptist Church, Beacon. After her retirement she moved to Kannapolis, N.C. where she became a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher and sang with the Senior Choir. Roberta also voluneered at the local hospital and was president of the Voluneer organization. In 2011, she moved to Durham to live with a niece, Jenneer Post Hervey and her family. She became a member of Blacknall Memorial Presbyterian Church. There she was a member of the LC Senior Group and Women's Bible Study. Surviving are sisters, Shirley Renovitch, June Clark and Charlene Booth and brothers Kenneth and Stephen, 14 nephews and 12 nieces. Also, many, many great and great, great nieces and nephews. She loved her large family aneeach one of them greatly loved her. She was a wonderful Christian influence on each of them. She will be remembered by family and many friends for her love of the Lord and her deep and abiding faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded ineeath by her parents, a sister, Adelaide Evans and a brother, Harold R. Post. There will be a Memorial service Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Blacknall Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1902 Perry St., Durham, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blacknall Memorial Church.
