Robert Sterling Lambert

Robert “Shorty” Lambert, age 65, died on Monday, April 17, 2023. Robert was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia on May 5, 1957, to his late parents, Robert S. Lambert and Ruby Claiborne Lambert.

Shorty is survived by his wife, Tammy Marie Lambert; his sons, Schuyler S. Lambert of Broadnax, VA and Jansen D. Lambert (Krystal Swift) of South Hill, VA; his stepchildren, Salih Akyar; Derya Currin (Ansel) and John Akyar all of Oxford, NC and his grandchildren, Watson and Amelya Currin. He is also survived by two siblings, Raymond Tolbert and his sister. He will be missed by many friends and extended family too numerous to name.

Shorty was predeceased by his parents and three siblings, Garland Tolbert, James Lambert and Betty Sue Cozart.

A memorial service will be held on May 17, 2023, at 2:30 pm at Wilson’s BBQ in South Hill, VA. All are welcome to honor Shorty’s memory.  The service will be officiated by Pastor Johnnie Russell.
