Robert Edward Raper

Robert ???Bob??? Edward Raper, Sr, age 78, died at Duke Hospital, Durham, NC on October 15, 2018. He was born on June 27, 1940 to the late Edward and Bessie Raper. Bob retired from Durham Public Schools duplicating services. He enjoyed life to the fullest and neer met a stranger. Being around family was one of his greatest joys. Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria Browning Raper, son, Robert Edward ???Eddie??? Raper, Jr (Julie) of Hickory, daughter Julie Miller (Jeff) of Hudson, son, David Raper of Durham, sister Betty McDonald of Lodi, CA, and grandchildren, Christopher and Lineey Raper of Hickory, Jacob, Cole and Kaylee Raper of Durham and Maddi and Chloe Miller of Hudson and nieces Anne Carroll of MD, Susan Coughlin and nephew, Patrick McDonald of CA. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m.in the Hall-Wynne Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 ??? 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Reshearch. Donation Processing The Michael J.
