With deep sorrow and infinite love, we announce the passing of our beloved Robbie Christopher Jones, who left us on May 6, 2024, at 10:08 PM in Durham, NC. Robbie was born on August 30, 1989, to Laura L. Childs. He was 34 years old.

Robbie graduated from Hammond High School in 2007. He honorably served his country as a United States Marine. After his service, he went on to work as a Solar Inspector in the Durham area. Robbie was known for his loving and generous nature, his big infectious smile, and his adventurous spirit. He was a great listener and a gentle soul, qualities that endeared him to everyone who knew him.

Robbie is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his mother, Laura L. Childs; his brother, Ryan W. Diffenbaugh; and his sisters, Samantha, Ashley, Sequoria, and Dianna. He also leaves behind his beloved Aunt Rose Mary Childs and cousins Amanda, Lauren, Matthew, and Zachary Penix. Robbie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosemary Childs, and his uncle, Jerry L. Childs.

Robbie's memory will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, love, and joy will remain with us always. We haven't lost Robbie, even to death. He will carry on in every thought, act and decision we make. Until I see you again my Son, love you forever.
