Robbie Bob Dixon

OXFORD: Robbie "Bob" Louise Jones Dixon, age 77 a resident of Amis Chapel Rd. died Tuesday July 6, 2010 in Duke Medical Center. Mrs. Dixon was a native of Granville Co. and was the daughter of the late Worth and Roxie Glasscock Jones. She was the widow of the late Thomas Dixon, Jr. She was a member of Amis Chapel Baptist Church where she was active in many organizations. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and she loved crocheting dish cloths for her family and all her friends at church whom she loved so much. Funeral services will be held Friday July 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Amis Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Terry Howard. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Dana Dixon Allen and husband Larry and Patricia "Pat" Dixon Crumpton and husband Bill all of Roxboro; a son Donald "Chip" Garrett Dixon of Oxford; sister, Helen Jones Clayton and husband Richard of Roxboro; four grandchildren, Scottie Poole and wife Michelle, Michelle "Missy" Blume and husband John, Chris Long and wife Dawn and Bryan Long and wife Bridget, all of Roxboro; seven great grandchildren, Damian Pyles, Courtney Long, Garrett Poole, Alyssa Long, Jessie Rey Long, Christian Long, and Kaelan Blume and a step-great- grandson Austin Blume. She was preceded ineeath by a brother John Ray Jones and two sisters, Dorothy Harris and Diane Wilkerson, Active pallbearers will be Scottie Poole, Chris Long, Bryan Long, Damian Pyles, Austin Blume, Barry Melton and Mark Lowery. The family will receive friends Thursday night July 8, 2010 from 7:00 until 8:30 at Amis Chapel Baptist Church.
