Ricky Sessoms Herndon

Ricky Sessoms Herndon, 57, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his home. Ricky was born in Durham, NC to Ruth and Randall S. Herndon on October 1, 1954. Ricky graduated from C.E. Jordan High School. He was employed by Flavor Rich Dairy and Valassis as a pressman for many years. Ricky was an avid Duke fan, he loved attending and watching Nascar races, aneenjoying the cheap thrills of life such as shooting off bottle rocks, fishing and target shooting with his sons. Ricky is survived by his father, Randall S. Herndon of Durham; sons, Adam Herndon and Alex Herndon of Durham, NC.; aunt and unee Sandra and Johnee McAllister of Monee, GA; nephews Jasoneerndon and family of Creedmoor, NC; Miles Herndon and family who are stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Utah; niece Natalie Herndon of Durham, NC.; and several other aunts, unees, cousins and a grand niece and nephew. He is predeceased by his mother Ruth Herndon and brother Randy Herndon both of Durham, NC. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 from the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service with Rev. Randall Floyd of Grey Stone Baptist Church officiating.
