Richard Wayne Talley

Richard ”Wayne” Talley, 74, passed away on August 5, 2021 in his hometown of Durham, North Carolina, after a short battle with serious medical issues. He was born at Watts Hospital on April 10,1947 to Richard E and Edna S. Talley.
After graduating from Durham High School, where he was a choir member and an avid wrestler, Wayne attended Croft Business School before starting his career at GTE. During his 33 years with the company, he worked as a computer operator, programmer, and system analyst. He married his wife, Nancy Zeoli in Brockton, MA on August 25, 1972. Wayne loved God and served Him faithfully through the years. He was a founding member of Faith Alliance Church. His love of photography allowed him to capture his favorite places, Hilton Head Island and Colonial Williamsburg, as they evolved through the seasons and the years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughters Stephanie Woodside (Jerry) of Bahama, NC and Heather Talley-Menzel (Marius) of Murnau, Germany; granddaughter Sydney Woodside; mother, Edna Marbrey; brother Larry Talley; and step-mother Alice Delozier.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard Talley and step-father Rufus Marbrey.
