Richard Jeffrey Stone

Richard Jeffrey Stone Sr., 58, passed onto the Lord suddenly on Friday, March 28, 2014 at his home. Born July 30, 1955 to the late Sidney Walker Stone and Sara Shreve Stone, he was a life resident of Durham. Richard was a former member of Grace Baptist Church in Durham and is fondly remembered by his family and friends as "Loving Papa Bear". Beside his parents, he was preceded ineeath by a sister, Mary Hord. He is survived by: his loving wife, of 34 years, Joyce Cash Stone of Durham; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Richard Jeffrey Stone Jr. and wife, Lisa of Durham, Jeremy Stone and wife, Rebecca of Durham; two grandchildren, whom he loved dearly with all his heart, Hailey Lynn Stone and Hayden Charles Stone, both of Durham; a brother, Walker S. Stone and wife, Margaret of Durham; four sisters, Maggie Belle Sears and husband John of Cary, Elizabeth Watkins and husband, Henry of Durham, Eleanor Ruth Haynes and husband, Walter of Garner, Sara Webster and husband, Harry of Cameron; two nephews, Sid Stone and wife, Tara of Durham and Clint Stone and wife, Carroll of Durham.
