Rachel Lucille Eubanks

Mrs. Rachel L. Eubanks, 87, of Pearly Lane, Pittsboro, NC died on Friday, September 18, at Siler City Care and Rehabilitation in Siler City, NC. Borneebruary 1, 1922, in Chatham County, Mrs. Eubanks was the daughter of Gertrude Elkins. She was a wife, mother, and a member of New Salem Church. Mrs. Eubanks is survived by two sons, Charlie Eubanks and Dennis Eubanks, both of Pittsboro; and a daughter, Betty Holt of Chapel Hill; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding her ineeath was her husband, Pearly Elwood Eubanks; her son, Herman Johnson Eubanks; her daughter, Laverne Womble; and a great-grandchild, Caithlin Womble. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Chris Gambos and Rev. Wesley Thomas at New Salem Church on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Old Rock Spring Cemetery.
