Phillip Allen Cooley

Phillip Allen Cooley, 57, resident of Pittsboro, NC, died Saturday, neember 17th, at UNC Hospital. Phillip was born in Fayetteville, NC to James Simpson Cooley and Zilpha Ellis Cooley. He was a loving father, son and brother. Phillip was self-employed as a painter. Mr. Cooley was preceded ineeath by his father, James Simpson Cooley. Surviving are his mother, Zilpha Ellis Cooley of Pittsboro; son, Alexander James Cooley of Pittsboro; daughter, Kristen Brooke Cooley of Pittsboro; and sisters, Ann Cooley Lloyd and husband, Earl of Chapel Hill, NC and Terri Cooley High and husband, Sandy of Sanford, NC. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Monday, neember 19th at Pittsboro Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Troy Lesher-Thomas presiding. Burial will be private.
