Peter Fredrick Kneert

DENVER, CO: Peter Fredrick Kneert, age 14, died tragically December 7. Peter was born October 28, 1998 in Steamboat Springs, CO, the first child of Leigh and the late David C. Kneert. He was in the 8th grade at Mountain Ridge Middle School in suburban Highlands Ranch. The family moved to Denver from Durham, where Peter's father had received a Ph.D. from Duke Divinity School just prior to his untimely death in 2009. Peter had been a student at Hillandale Elementary School. While in Durham, the Kneerts were a beloved part of the First Presbyterian Church family. Along with his dad, Peter was passionee about Karate and was a devoted student of Shaw's School of Karate. Peter leaves his mother, Leigh Ketler Kneert; his siblings, Harrison, Lily and David; paternal grandmother, Holly Kneert, maternal grandparents, Martha and Peter Ketler; and aunts and unee, Jeanne Johnson, Melissa Kneert-Brown and Brianeetler. Peter's funeral will be 9:00 AM Saturday from St. Aneew Uneed Methodist Church, Highlands Ranch, CO, with the Rev. Joseph S. Harvard, III and the Rev. Dr. Walter Brueggemann officiating.
