Paul Vernon Carroll

Mr. Paul Vernon Carroll, 74, of Cornwallis St., Pittsboro, died Saturday night, August 21, 2010 in his home following a period of declining health. Born October 10, 1935 in Chatham County, he was the son of James Clifford Carroll and Julia Roberson Carroll. Paul was a member of Chatham Uneed Methodist Church, where he had taught Sunday School, served as Superintendant, and was a member of the cemetery committee. He was a retired route supervisor from Coca-Cola Bottling Company with over 30 years of service; prior to that Paul was a milk distributor with Sealtest Dairy. Survivors include his wife, Trema Spaulding Carroll; daughters, Teresa Clark and husbaneeddie of Siler City, and Paula Oldham and husband Wally of Charlotte; a sister, Sarah Frances Post of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Chad Clark, Tonya Williams, Heather Pica and Lynsi Smith; and great-grandchildren, Reid aneeliza Williams and Brianna and Isaac Pica. The funeral service for Mr. Carroll will be conducted by Pastors Patrick Sinclair and Ray Gooch at 11 am Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Chatham Uneed Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6 8 pm Monday at Chatham Uneed Methodist Church, and at other times at the Carroll residence.
