Patsy Ruth Chamberlain

Patsy “Pat” Barber Chamberlain passed away Wednesday morning, April 10th at Duke Regional Hospital after a courageous fight with heart disease and cancer.

She was born on a beautiful spring day, May 26, 1948, to Hesro and Brona Phillips Barber in Old West Durham.

Along with her parents, Pat is preceded by her brothers Rudy (Gladys) Barber and Jackie Barber, as well as her sister Carolyn Barber Sharpe. 

She is survived by her husband Malcolm Chamberlain, son Doug (Elizabeth) Roberts, daughter Lynn Roberts Lee, stepdaughters Lisa (Rob) Lloyd, Wendy Tivnan, and grandchildren Tim, Justin, Trent Lee, Sarah Roberts, Logan, Madison Lloyd, Cameron (Josh) Hudson, great-grandchild Riley Hudson and her fur baby Rosie Mae. She is also survived by her sister Gloria Rutledge, and sister-in-law Louise Phelps Barber as well as a host of many nieces and nephews.

Family was the most important thing to Pat, She loved her and Malcolm’s adventures to the mountains and trips around the state over the many years. She will be sorely missed by her family, many loyal friends, and all that she knew. In lieu of flowers, give your loved ones a big hug and kiss and tell them you love them.
