Patricia Anne Fergus

Patricia Anne Fergus, age 83, died on November 11, 2022, with members of her family by her side in Durham, North Carolina. 

She was born on October 14, 1939 in San Francisco, California to Alfred William and Mabel Harris. her father was in electronics and her mother was a housewife. They moved to Gardena, California when Patricia was five. 

Patricia graduated from Leuzinger High School in 1957. She became a fashion model and subsequently taught self-improvement at John Robert Powers. Later in life, she owned and managed various restaurants. She married Jack Marietta in 1968. They had three children. 

She began working with horses at a very early age, and later went on to train horses and gave riding lessons to children and adults. 

She divorced Jack in 1997, and married Ivon Fergus in 2017. 

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 

Her interests included flower gardening. 

Mrs. Fergus is survived by her current husband, Ivon Fergus, one brother, William Harris, her three children, Cheryl O'Connell, and Kenny and Chris Marietta. Mrs. Fergus us also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, in addition to other relatives. 

Mrs. Fergus was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elsie Cidot. 

A visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.   

A funeral service will be held on 10:00 AM, Wednesday November 15, 2022 at the LDS Chapel on Bernini Drive in Durham North Carolina.
