Patricia Ann Upton

Pat was born on Halloween 1944 in Madeira, CA to George and Margaret Sullivan. Sandwiched between her three brothers, Chester, Jimmy, and David, she was one tough woman who was strong-willed and smart.

She received an undergraduate degree and a masters degree from San Jose State. She met the love of her life George while she was working in a diner he was working on the railroad and they got married in 1963.

They moved to Decatur, AL where she taught school and then became the systems administrator for the entire school system. In 1980 she gave birth to her beloved baby boy, Jeremy Dale Upton. She loved being a mother more than anything else in her entire life, except possibly being a grandmother which she became in 2010 when Kate and Jeremy had her first Grandchild, Nicholas Sullivan Upton. She finally got to have a baby girl to dote on when Brennan Elizabeth Upton was born in 2012.

She is preceded in death by her husband George, brothers Jimmy and David. She is survived by her brother Chester, son Jeremy Upton and daughter-in-law Kate and their two children Nick and Brennan.
