O'Nell Ferrell Hicks

O’Nell Ferrell Hicks, age 85, died on September 19, 2020. She was born in Durham, NC on January 15, 1935 to Jennings Franklin Wood and Wilma Beauchamp Wood.

O’Nell loved spending time with her family and singing in the choir at Grace Baptist Church.

O’Nell is survived by four children, Gary Ferrell and wife Jamie, Connie Dupree and husband Belease, Debbie Fisher, Paula Ray and husband Richard, daughter-in-law Lisa Ferrell: ten grandchildren, Chris Ferrell, Matthew Ferrell, Lauren Bobrowski, Lindsey Watson, Amanda Timberlake, Jeffrey Taylor, Keaton Fisher, Kollin Fisher, Jenna Ray, Evan Ray and 13 great grandchildren. O’Nell was preceded in death by her first husband Dwight Ferrell and second husband Mark Hicks, one son Eddie Ferrell and one granddaughter Kailee Fisher.

A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
