OXFORD: Ollie Mae Boger Green was born on April 24, 1923 in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Fred A. Boger, Sr. and Ollie Coffey Boger. Mrs. Green had two brothers Dan Boger, who pre-deceased her, and Fred A . Boger, Jr. of Waxhaw, North Carolina. In 1938, the Boger family moved to Oxford, North Carolina, where Mrs. Green's father worked on the construction of Granville County Hospital. Mrs. Green graduated from Oxford High School in 1940. On November 24, 1940, she married Marshall Glen Green. They were married for 68 years until Mr. Green's death in 2009. They have four children: Diane Green Weller of Durham; Fred Green of Fayetteville; Lennie Green and wife Carolyn Carter of Raleigh; and Donald Green of Oxford. Mrs. Green was predeceased by a daughter, Marie. Mrs. Green has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Green's main joys in life were her family, church and flower garden. She was first and foremost a mother and homemaker. She was also a faithful member of the Oxford Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for 50 years. After Mrs. Green's youngest child started school, she began work as a bookkeeper for Tom's Auto Supply, and later worked for Bargain Furniture Company, until her retirement in 1988. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2014, at 3:00 PM at Oxford Baptist Church, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 before the service in the parlor of the church. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P. O.
