Norwood Blackley Kearney

Norwood Blackley Kearney, 93, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He was a native of Franklin Co. and was the son of the late Alfonzo C. and Adell Blackley Kearney. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday February 7, 2013 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church by Rev. Carl Hunter. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Maggie P. Kearney; son, Harold D. KearneyPam of Franklinton; daughter, Dorothy K. GuptonCharles of Franklinton; sister, Edith Toler of Franklinton; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1245 Mt. Olivet Church Rd., Franklinton, NC 27525. The family will receive friends following the services in the fellowship hall of the church.
