Nevaeh Starr Jackson, age 1, died on April 15, 2021 at Duke University Hospital. She was the beloved daughter of Dale Edward Jackson and Toni Laurell Crews Jackson. Nevaeh blessed them on June 27, 2019.
Nevaeh was a beautiful little girl. She battled from the day she was born, but with the strength of her family she thrived and captured the hearts of so many.
Nevaeh leaves a large family behind when she gained her angel wings and she will watch over them all. She is survived by her mother, Toni Laurell Crews and her father, Dale Edward Jackson and her brother, Julian Jackson. She is also survived by great, great grandfather, Jesse Thigpen; her great grandparents, Carolyn and Earl Messer and Kristen Hughes; her grandparents, Amy and Eddie Grissom, Tony Crews, and Jane Jackson. She is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins… Julia Kristen Mitchiner, Kaylah Crews, Samantha Messer, Kadeshia Crews, Kisha (Rob) Baxter, Wendy Jackson, Darrel (Cynthia) Jackson, Melissa Jackson, Darren Jackson, Taylor (Michael) Humphries, Victoria (Robbie) Carpenter, Earl Messer, Mary Messer, Elizabeth Baxter, Jasmine Jackson, Joseph Johnson, Jamil Jackson, Chance Kelly, Deanna Borth, Haylee Borth, Daylon Jackson, Ethan Kelly, Mckenzie Messer, Daniel Jackson, James Kelly, Haylee Humphries, Allison Averette, Jadah Riffle, Isiah Gregory, Brayden Humphries, Jaycea Riffle, Christian Riffle, Arianna Mitchiner, Jaylynne Joyner, Amelia Jackson, Liam Jackson, Holden Miller, Aleah Williams, A’dante Crews, Mark Jackson, and Petie Thomas. She will be deeply missed by numerous loving friends and family.
Nevaeh was preceded in death by her grandfather, Duane Jackson; great, great grandmother, Brenda Thigpen; Aunt Brenda Lee Messer; Cousins, Angel Allison Johnson and Payton James Gregory.
A visitation will be held for family and friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2020, at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan, Oxford, NC. A funeral service will be held also on April 21, 2020, at 5:00 pm at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Chapel and officiated by Pastor Shaun Daniel. A private burial at South Granville Memorial Gardens.
