Nelson O'Briant Parrott

OXFORD: Nelson O'Briant Parrott, a resident of Oxford died July 8, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Granville Co. and was the son of the late Bailey O'Briant and Catherine Newton Parrott. Mr. Parrott was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was Retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. Memorial services will be held Saturday July 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Chapel by the Rev. Mark Alexander. Surviving are his wife, Mary Helen Blackwell Parrott; a son, Mike Parrott Haven of Rockwell; two daughters, Sissy Parrott of Raleigh and Lynn Gresham Neil of Oxford; a brother Larry Parrott of Oxford; Grandchildren, Dane Parrott, Drew Parrott, Dylan Parrott, Dalton Parrott, Elizabeth Gresham and Neil Gresham. He was preceded ineeath by brothers Bobby Parrott and Jimmy Parrott. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
