Nellie Mae Nell Deaneeonard

OXFORD: Nellie Mae "Nell" Deaneeonard, age 93, died Monday, February 21, 2011 at her home. A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late John W. Dean and Jenee Puckett. She was a member of Oxford Uneed Methodist Church and was retired from Lovely Lady Beauty Salon. Funeral services will be held oneednesday, Feb 23, 2011 at 2:00 P.M.at Oxford Uneed Methodist Church by Rev. John Yount and Rev. Pat Hawkins. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Surviving is her son, Howard Leonard, Jr. of Putaluma, CA. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Howard Leonard, Sr. and a brother, John W. Dean, Jr.; sisters, Verlon D. Watkins, Lillian Norwood, Hazel Dean and Alfreda Tillotson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
