Neil Jefferson Mclaurin

Mr. Neil Jefferson McLaurin, 97, of NC 902, Pittsboro, died January 31, 2012 at Siler City Care and Rehabilitationeenter. Born in Anson County on August 29, 1914, Mr. McLaurin was a son of Albert Hugh McLaurin and Lucy Elizabeth Rhyne McLaurin. Mr. McLaurin was a retired seafood dealer; in his off time he enjoyed bird hunting and was an avid gardner. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church. Mr. McLaurin is survived by two sons, Hugh David McLaurin aneearl McLaurin, both of Pittsboro; two daughters, Linda M. Ruth of Pittsboro, and Faye M. Taylor of Winston-Salem; a brother, Joe McLaurin of Siler City; six grandchildren; nee great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. McLaurin was preceded ineeath by his wife, Ruth Cook McLaurin; a great-grandchild, and six brothers and sisters. The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Neil McLaurin will be conducted by Rev. Ray Gooch and Rev. Kevin Taylor at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, February 2, 2012, from the graveside at Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church cemetery.
