DURHAM ??? Mrs. Nancy A. Golombisky, 76, of Durham, NC died May 26, 2015. Mrs. Golombisky was born in Owosso, MI to the late Ben and Agnes Faber Hain. She moved to Durham in 1971 and retired from Duke Uneersity Medical Center in 1996, where she wrote research grants for the Cancer Center and Psychiatry Department. She is survived by Dan, her loving husband of 59 years; sons, David (Debi) of Hillsborough, NC, and Greg (Kim) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Matthew, Kristopher, Benjamin, Karl, David, Jenneer Kate, Evans McKinney and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ben of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and her brother-in-law William Golombisky (Ruth) and sister-in-law Sharon Lawcock (George) of rural Corunna, MI, and several nieces and nephews. Nancy enjoyed life and she loved to laugh! She found great joy playing with her children and grandchildren. She loved to swim, water ski, ride her Sea Doo and play UNO with them for many years at Lake Gaston. She also loved to play her accordion with family and friends and for many listeners to enjoy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Bill McIntyre, OFM, presiding. After mass a reception will be held in the gathering space followed by burial in St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday afternoon, May 31st, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main St. in Durham. Flowers are acceptable or contributions may be made to a charity of one???s choice. Arrangements for the Golombisky are under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
