Minee Belle Henderson Sirls

Mrs. Minee Belle Henderson Sirls, 78, of NC Highway 87 North, Pittsboro, died September 11, 2008 at The Laurels of Chatham. Born April 10, 1930 in Pittsboro, Mrs. Sirls was the daughter of Walter Cleveland Henderson and Beatrice Burgess Henderson. She was a graduate of Hardbarger Business College, and worked for both the Chatham County Register of Deeds, aneedward S. Holmes, Attorney, before beginning her career with the NC High School Athletic Association from which she retired following 20 plus years of service. Mrs. Sirls was a member of Browns Chapel Uneed Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lyanne and Phillip Spaneer of Pittsboro; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug Sirls of Pittsboro, Randy and Liz Sirls of Hampstead, and Jamie and Karen Sirls of Pittsboro; five grandchildren; a brother, Walter Henderson, and a sister, Lois Lane, both of Graham. Her husband, Charles Douglas Sirls, Sr. preceded her ineeath September 26, 2007. The service to celebrate Mrs. Sirls' life will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Browns Chapel Uneed Methodist Church by the Rev. Ray Gooch. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro, and at other times at Mrs. Sirls' residence.
