DURHAM Mildred Ingram Hamby, 87, died July 21, 2012 at Durham Regional. Mildred was borneeptember 8, 1924 in Statesville, NC to the late James Preston Ingram and Mary Cowan Ingram. Mildred was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church where she received a lifetime award from Presbyterian Women. She was also a member of Beta Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma and worked many years as a Home Economics Teacher at Brogdon Middle School. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Linn Hamby Lopez and husband, Anthony of Durham; son, Dr. Mike Preston Hamby and wife, Teresa of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Mary Alex Hamby and John Duncan Hamby both of Fuquay-Varina. She is also survived by her brother, Edgar Ingram and wife, Doris of Statesville; and two nieces; Charlotte Ingram and Amy Koonce. Mildred was preceded ineeath by her husband, John W. Hamby, Jr. Funeral Services will be offered 3:00 pm Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joseph S. Harvard officiating. A reception will follow in Watts-Hill Hall. Friends may visit from 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Durham. Memorial contributions may be made to Barium Springs Children's Home, P.O.
