Mildred Hicks Harris

MILDRED HICKS HARRIS- OXFORD- Mildred Hicks Harris, age 87 a resident of Oxford died Wednesday August 4, 2010. She was a native of Granville Co. and was the daughter of the late Albert Richard and Nora Brummitt Hicks. She was the widow of the late Burfort Herman "Buck" Harris. Mrs. Harris was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and has been attending Oxford Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Granville Co. Historical Society. She retired from the NC Tobacco Research Station in Oxford. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday August 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Chapel by Dr. J. Steven Bolton. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mildred is survived by several nieces and nephews She was preceded ineeath by two sisters, Catherine Riggan, and Caroline Averette; four brothers, Titus Hicks, Tom Hicks, Hilman Hicks and A. R. Hicks. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the services at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home.
