Mrs. Maybelle Hall Husketh, age 99, of 3849 Shoccoree Drive died Monday at home. Maybelle was born and raised in Durham and graduated from Braggtown High School and Western Carolina Teachers College. A devoted Christian, Maybelle was a member of Aneer Avenue Baptist Church for 87 years. She was a member of the Estheren Sunday School Class, Leah Royal Circle and The Joyful Noise Choir. She served as Chairman of the Bereavement Committee, TLOF and was the leader of the BYW for many years. She was the President of the East Durham Ladies Club, until it closed, and was very active in the PTA. She was born oneecember 27, 1909 to Pearl and Raymond Hall. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Leonard, her twin sister, Mozelle Duncan and her two sisters Lucille Hall, Janie Tomaselli and brother Lawrence Hall, her son-in-laws, Arthur Jennings, Sr. and Danny Best, Sr. and her grandson, Jaimie Best. She is survived by two daughters, Pearl H. Jennings and Janie H. Best of Durham, eight grandchildren, Beth J. Reynolds, Victoria J. McCue Tom, Cheryl J. Higgs Scott Burt Jennings Georgia, Danny Best, Jr., Christopher Best and Gena Best Hall Greg. Great Grandchildren, Nicole Reynolds, Meagan McCue, Aaroneest, Joshua and Daniel Higgs, Bonee, Trevor, aneeliza Jennings. She is also survived by 2 nieces and two nephews. The funeral will be held 11 AM oneednesday, February 4, 2009 at Aneer Avenue Baptist Church. Officiating will be The Rev Clarence Parrish and The Rev J. Kevin Byers. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of her family. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the BYW, her "Girls". Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable and memorials canee sent to Aneer Avenue Baptist Church.
