Mary Ruth Nelms

OXFORD: Mary Ruth Nelms, of 126 Pine Cone Drive, died Monday, April 6, 2009. She was a native of Granville Co., attended Louisburg College and she retire as Clerk of Granville County Superior Court after 42 years. She was the daughter of the late Edmund and Blanee Adcock Clark. She was a member of Oxford Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, John K. Nelms of the home; one son, John K. Nelms, Jr. wife Autney of Raleigh; two grandchildren John K. Nelms, III; Anna Clark Nelms; one sister, Ann Clark Sellers of Naples, FL. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 9 from Oxford Baptist Church by Dr. J. Steven Bolton. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation for the family will be Wednesday from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street and at other times at the home.
