Mary Josephine Bonhivert

Mary Josephine (Mary Jo), age 66, died peacefully at home in Hurdle Mills, NC on Thursday, March 7th. She was born in Evanston, IL to the late Maurice O’Donohue and Catherine Clancy O’Donohue.

She is survived by her daughter, Tryston Jack (David) , granddaughter, Ella and grandson, David of Raleigh; loving partner of 25 years, Robert (Bob) Noack of Hurdle Mills along with many siblings and nieces and nephews.

Mary Jo was predeceased by her parents; her son Christopher (Drew) Bonhivert as well as her brother, Edward O’Donohue.

Mary Jo was a great lover of tradition and family recipes. She enjoyed sharing her love through feeding folks and passing along pointers to make things just right. She had a very soft spot for animals and would care for the local stray cats or any animal her children brought home.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 1001 Mason Rd, Durham, NC on Thursday, March 14th at 2:00pm.
