Mary Catherine Bunn

Mary Catherine Bunn died two days before her 91st birthday on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Pruitt Healthcare in Durham.?? She was born to the late William and Vera Gordon Bauman in Wilkes Barre, PA. Mary was a loving wife and partner to her husband Jack, for 51 years, whom she has joined again. Together they loved and supported Duke Basketball.?? Mary was honeed to be a member of the Catholic Daughters and she voluneered her time and services to a local hospital.?? She loved and served her family and may her legacy of love continue. Mary is survived by her daughter, Cathie McLamb and husband, Lee, of Hillsborough, NC; her son, Jimmy Bunn of Birmingham, AL; her grandchildren, Jenneer Preston and husband, Mark, of Durham; Jonathan McLamb of Hillsborough; and Justin Bunn; three great grandchildren, Kassidy, Kaylee and Ava Preston. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Jack Bunn; and her sister, Vera Flanigan. Graveside services will be held 12:00 Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery, 1001 Mason Rd. in Durham with Father Mark J. Betti presiding. Friends may visit with the family following the graveside. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Duke HomeCare & Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27704.
