Mary Agnes Law, sister of Louise Cooper and aunt of Betty Epanchin, died Saturday night, March 16, 2008, at the Care and Wellness Center of the Masonic aneeastern Star Home in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mrs. Law, widow of James Law, had been ineeclining health for several years. She was born in Ellisville, Mississippi, in 1909 and would have been 99 in May of this year. She received her early education in the Mississippi public schools and her BA degree from the Uneersity of Southern Mississippi. She earned her graduate degree from Georgetown Uneersity in Washington, D.C. During World War II, she worked for the government and when the war ended, she beganeer teaching career. She taught first grade for many years before becoming an elementary school principal in Prince George's County, Maryland. She was active in professional organizations including Alpha Delta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi. She was president of her ADK chapter and moved on to become State president and then an international officer. After she retired she moved to Sun City Center, Florida, where she was an active in community activities, including voluneering at the local hospital and tutoring children at the local school. She also had many interests: crafts, bridge, gardening, playing the organ and travel. She traveled to all the continents but Antarctica. Oneednesday March 19, 2008, the family will receive friends at 2:00 o'clock pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 o'clock pm in the Chapel.
