Marvin Douglas (Doug) Moore, age 77, died peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2022, in his home. He was the son of the late Needham Bryant Moore, Sr., and Sallie Mangum Moore.  Doug was born in Durham County on May 20, 1945

Doug was a man that believed in simplicity, faith and his beloved family. 

Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Brenda Tilley Moore and his three beautiful daughters, Kimberly Moore Carpenter (Will); Susan Lynne Eagan (Jim) and Janet Kaye Perrin (Steve).  He is also survived by his 8 amazing grandchildren and his 3 precious great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends too numerous to name. 

 Doug was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Kelly DeHart.

A memorial service for Doug will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Enon Baptist Church, Oxford, NC and officiated by Reverend Steve Brown.  A visitation after the service will be held at the Community House.
